Stago is Hiring a Human Resources Specialist Near Parsippany, NJ

The Human Resources Specialist will be responsible for the US and Canada automobile program and the 401k programs, along with being the secondary processor of payroll for the US and Canada. This position will serve as the back-up for Human Resources support functions including, but limited to, reception coverage and maintenance of files.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Responsible of the auto program in conjunction with management. Including, but not limited to, arranging car pick-up, transfers, and ordering; accident reporting; annual and new hire auto election forms to employees and review; new hire and annual MVR checks; the annual car selection process with lifecycle data and new car option analysis; quarterly personal mileage and annual taxable benefit process; and annual auto insurance renewal and insurance cards for all drivers.
  • Responsible for the 401k plans in the US and Canada. Including, but not limited to, processing bi-weekly and off-cycle employee 401k and RRSP contributions; planning, organizing, and attending the annual employee 401k education sessions; annual compliance testing and any state/federal compliance filings.
  • Serve as secondary payroll processor (bi-weekly and off-cycle) with the ability to independently run payroll as payroll specialist back-up.
  • Responsible to maintain and update Federal and State Employment posters as needed.
  • Prepare routine and ad hoc reports for areas of responsibility.
  • Process and track job relevant invoices for payments.
  • Responsible for processing name changes, employment verifications, and tuition reimbursements.
  • Responsible for the Scholarship Program.
  • Update the HRIS system with new hires and termination lists.
  • Prepare and update the safety manuals and schedule annual safety inspections with vendor, along with reporting as a member of the Fire and Safety Committee.
  • Maintains relevant vendor contact and productivity standards.
  • Provide back-up coverage for receptionist when necessary.
  • Works on special projects and assists with administrative duties as assigned.
  • Assist with technical support to managers and employees for the performance system.
  • Assist with employee activities as needed
Education & Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree required. Minimum 2-3 years payroll and 401k experience required.
  • Prefer individual with prior experience with HRIS systems, preferably UKG, intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook)
  • Individual must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to execute assigned duties independently. They must have a good work ethic, strong organizational skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Valid driver's license required. Travel may be required up to 10%.
