The following are the duties of this position at the full working level:
Ensure that the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision, and values are communicated to the team and integrated into the team's strategies, goals, objectives, work plans and work products and services.
Articulate and communicate to the team the assignment, project, problem to be solved, actionable events, milestones, and/or program issues under review, and deadlines and time frames for completion.
Coach the team in the selection and application of appropriate problem-solving methods and techniques, provide advice on work methods, practices, and procedures, and assist the team and/or individual members in identifying the parameters of a viable solution.
Lead the team in identifying, distributing, and balancing workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established workflow, skill level and/or occupational specialization; making adjustments to accomplish the workload in accordance with established priorities to ensure timely accomplishment of assigned team tasks; and ensuring that each employee has an integral role in developing the final team product.
Train or arrange for the training of team members in methods and techniques of team building and working in teams to accomplish tasks or projects and provide or arrange for specific administrative or technical training necessary for accomplishment of individual and team tasks.

  • Telework Eligible Positions: Telework eligible positions do not guarantee telework. Employees must meet and sustain IRS telework eligibility requirements (e.g., reporting at least twice a pay period to your assigned Post of Duty (POD)) and supervisor's approval to participate in the IRS Telework Program. Employees must also be within a 200-mile radius of their official assigned post-of-duty (POD) while in a telework status. As a reminder - If you are selected for a position, you are responsible for reporting to your designated POD (location) on the negotiated start date or as directed by management.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National and provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. (Birth certificate showing birth in the U.S; Unexpired U.S. Passport; Certificate of Citizenship or Naturalization; or Report of Birth Abroad of a U.S. Citizen (Form FS-240))
  • Undergo a review of prior performance/conduct and an income tax verification. Refer to "Get Your Tax Record" at http://www.irs.gov/(https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript) to check the status of your account, balance owed, payment history, make a payment, or review answers to tax questions. If you are not in compliance, you will be determined unsuitable for employment with IRS.
  • This position requires that the successful candidate undergo personnel vetting, which includes a background investigation and enrollment upon onboarding into "Continuous Vetting." Enrollment in Continuous Vetting will result in automated record checks being conducted throughout one's employment with Treasury. The successful candidate will also be enrolled into FBI's Rap Back service, which will allow Treasury to receive notification from the FBI of criminal matters (e.g., arrests, charges, convictions) involving enrolled individuals in near real-time.   • Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency.
  • Go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form I-9. Federal law requires verification of the identity and employment eligibility of all new hires in the U.S. These documents must be unexpired original or certified copies.

QualificationsFederal experience is not required. The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or Volunteer Service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-timework is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week, on your resume.
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement:
Specialized Experience-gs-14You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal Service.
Specialized Experience Includes
  • Experience with a wide range of analytical and evaluative methods and techniques, both qualitative and quantitative, relating to call center operations.
  • Experience with management and organizational principles to apply to programs, projects and studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of operations and means to improve them.
  • Experience with project management to evaluate complex projects and studies and the ability to identify problem areas, trends, deficiencies and other similar factors affecting operations.
  • Experience with oral communication techniques to present findings, deliver briefings, and negotiate solutions to disputed recommendations.
  • Experience with Text-to-Speech software (i.e. Nuance Text-to-Speech (TTS)) and formatting software (i.e. Adobe Audition).
  • Experience with Identifying, troubleshooting & elevating IT issues.
  • Experience providing executives and business organizations with emerging speech analytics data and analysis.
  • Experience with Contact Recording (i.e. Verint software) providing training and technical support.
AND
THIS IS A BILINGUAL POSITION: Applicants will be required to demonstrate proficiency in Spanish. You must be able to speak, read and write the selected language in order to be considered proficient in that language. If you indicate language proficiency, you may be tested at some point in the hiring process to determine if you possess the required level of proficiency. If you are unable to demonstrate proficiency, you will not be qualified for these positions.
AND
If you are determined tentatively qualified based on your responses to the online questions, you may receive an email directing you to the on-line assessment (Self-Assessment/Job Simulation Assessment) that will include instructions for accessing the assessment website and user log-in. The on-line assessment must be completed within the timeframe of the open testing period indicated in the email. If you pass the on-line assessment, you will be assigned to one of two quality level categories, (i.e., A/B or C ) depending on your overall score from the assessment.
