Position : Medical Receptionist

Location : Hilton Head Island, SC

Over the last 15 years, has been driven to become the area’s leader in outpatient rehabilitation, providing comprehensive physical and occupational therapy, pelvic health, balance and vestibular therapy, and an extensive sports medicine program.

We are very proud of the breadth of services we provide and the depth of knowledge and passion we provide them.

We have an immediate opening for a Medical Receptionist at our Hilton Head Island location. You will behandling in-person and over-the-phone encounters with patients, setting appointments, creating telephone encounters for physicians, verifying insurance, checking patients in / out, handling co-pays, and processing documents, among other tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients as they contact the clinic personally or by telephone.
  • Schedule appointments
  • Answer all incoming calls and route them to the appropriate staff.
  • Register all patients per registration protocols and collect all documentation.
  • Reviews and verifies patient coverage of insurance.
  • Work closely with staff to ensure smooth patient flow and reduce waiting time.
  • Call and remind patients of their appointments.
  • Follow up on no-show patients daily.
  • Communicate the patient’s problem / complaint to the office manager.
  • Other related duties as the job requires.

Requirements

  • 1 year of previous experience in a front-office medical setting
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel
