The Director, Global BPA Data Analytics, Reporting, and Planning is responsible for the global internal management reporting financial systems and infrastructure that are used across the organization, which includes the FinD Tableau Analytics suite, ASPIRE/BPC planning, and ASPIRE/BPC actuals. This individual leads the global BPA technology roadmap strategy, liaison with region/function BPAs to identify and prioritize use-cases and leads the execution of the prioritized projects to deliver business value and/or drive efficiencies. The Director, Global BPA Data Analytics, Reporting, and Planning should have a robust understanding of the needs and capabilities across the organization, have an eye for the future, and apply technical and business judgement to deliver scalable solutions. During the next 3-4 years, Alcon will be going through a system transformation, including the SAP/IRIS upgrade, and the replacement of FCRS/APMR and BPC/ASPIRE. This leader will play a critical role in the BPC/ASPIRE tool selection, project planning and implementation, ensuring long-term technology alignment, and availability of information across the financial reporting platform. Partner with global and region/function BPA teams to understand capabilities and improvements that can be made, creating a roadmap and prioritization of initiatives to be implemented. Drive alignments and execution of key projects in the BPA team, ensuring that the stakeholder requirements and solution are providing sufficient business capabilities. Deliver high-quality monthly ASPIRE actuals (internal financials) reporting on-time and facilitate planning submissions through ASPIRE and Adaptive Workforce Planning, per Global BPA timelines. Align with IT leadership on the strategic direction of systems and availability of systems & tools to meet ongoing demands. Work closely with the Consolidation and Reporting team on alignment between internal and external reporting, providing insights into topics such as hyperinflation, TAGL, Core adjustments, etc. Should be familiar with FCRS, APMR and IRIS. Manage escalations related to systems, providing adequate communications and team alignment to ensure resolutions are timely. Coordinate with IT to confirm there is adequate IT support and resourcing to deliver on current enhancements and projects. Strong understanding of financial reporting concepts and financial statements Understanding of various financials tools used across the team, SAP ECC/BI, SAP BPC, Tableau, AWS, Alteryx, and Adaptive Insights. Leads team of 9 FTEs across US, Poland, Switzerland, and Mexico. Data Analytics with 3 FTEs that perform Tableau and Alteryx developments to support the FinD Tableau dashboards. These dashboards are used across the entire Alcon organization by approximately 1,300 users per quarter, including senior executives The BPC/ASPIRE Actuals and Planning team is comprised of 6 system analysis FTEs, that support data interfaces, master data, data validations and planning templates, with strong SAP BW/BPC system knowledge. The BPC/ASPIRE tool is used by approximately 300 BPAs during the month-end and planning cycles.
