Position Description:

The Alcon team is looking for talented and motivated Co-ops to join us onsite for the Spring 2025 at the Johns Creek, GA location. Co-op duration is JAN - MAY. Summer Extension is possible.

The Engineering co-op would be working with the Engineering team on the DSMFLEX Platform at Johns Creek Manufacturing. Assigned projects would consist of equipment upgrades, cost saving and OEE improvements. Some of these projects are safety related, others are quality improvements, and we also have performance driven opportunities with very short paybacks. Assist in investigations and root cause analysis for the process and equipment.

Minimum Qualifications for Co-ops:

• Must be enrolled in an accredited university or college for at least one semester prior to co-op, and at least one additional semester following your co-op (DEC 2025 graduation date or later).

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor's level degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial or Chemical Engineering or related major.

• Academic performance: Minimum cumulative GPA 2.8/4.0

• Demonstrated leadership skills (i.e. extracurricular activities or projects)

• Must be authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis. Students on an F1 visa with CPT work authorization may be accommodated.

• Ability to commit to a semester long, full time (40 hrs. per week) co-op

• Good communicator

• Flexible

• Strong mechanical aptitude

• Good technical writing ability

• CAD and ability to 3D print

• Prior experience with SolidWorks
