Compensation :
Pay Range: $15.00 - $21.95 / hour

Job Highlights:
The program coordinator oversees employee training and development for the department with primary responsibilities to include hiring, onboarding, and training team members. Through a collaborative effort with department managers, this role provides administrative support by planning and implementing employee development, engagement, and retention projects and events. UAB Medicine Guest Services plays an integral role in our patient and guest experience, supporting more than 1.78 million patient visits annually and completing more than 54,000 patient transports in 2022. This dynamic team is comprised of patient transporters, patient and family advocates, guest services representatives, and other support staff.

Job Description: Under general supervision, coordinates administrative, personnel and logistical support for a defined department program. Carries out established program objectives and directives. Determines the best approach to accomplish assignments. May supervise support staff. Communicates, using a variety of media, with internal and external constituencies. May be responsible for adherence to program budget and/or other fiscal duties. May assist with grant and contract preparation and submission. May handle data management.

High School diploma or GED and three (3) years of related experience required
