To provide for and manage patient care in a clinical area for specific age and patient populations. To deliver care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention,implementation and evaluation; effectively interacts with patient, significant others and other health team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing. Position Requirements: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Associate's degree in Nursing and one (1) year of RN experience required. Bachelor's degree in Nursing and one (1) year of recovery room experience preferred. Work experience may not substitute for education requirement. LICENSE, CERTIFICATION AND/OR REGISTRATION: Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required or must be obtained within thirty (30) days of employment. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required or must be obtained within six (6) months of employment. Member of The Society of Gastroenterology Nurses Association (SGNA) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred.
