The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) seeks a Senior Director of Development for the College of Arts and Sciences with excellent fundraising skills and knowledge of creating development strategies for complex projects. The incumbent will have demonstrated experience developing and implementing strategies for identifying, cultivating, and soliciting individuals, corporations, and foundations for major and principal gifts.
The Senior Director is expected to meet/exceed established metrics on an annual basis - including dollars, visits, solicitations, and proposals presented goals. The incumbent must be able to function as an integral part of a team in designing and implementing successful fundraising programs which include annual giving, planned giving, and principal, major and mid-level gifts to maximize philanthropic support for the College.
This position will also lead and direct a staff of development and alumni professionals assigned to the College. This position will report to the Associate Vice President for Development and coordinate his or her daily activities with the Dean and other University officials.
Travel is required for this position.
This position is hybrid-eligible after the probationary period.
Key Duties and Primary Responsibilities:
Salary Range: $85,600 - $130,000
