The Respiratory Therapist is primarily responsible for administering IPV and aerosol treatments with medication as ordered by physician. Provides direct and indirect care and services to all patient age groups including: Adult, Adolescent, Pediatric and Infant. Will perform CPR, perform ABG punctures and set up various pieces of Respiratory Therapy equipment. Responsible for setting up and maintaining mechanical ventilators as ordered by a physician. Performs EKGs and other job-related functions as directed.
Must be currently licensed as a Respiratory Therapist by the Alabama State Board for Respiratory Therapy (ASBRT); Or if a recent graduate from a Respiratory Therapy program, must have temporary license from ASBRT.
