UAB Medicine - UA Health Services Foundation... is Hiring an Administrative Office Specialist IV - Neurosurgery Near Birmingham, AL

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8-5
Location Lyons-Harrison Research Building
Under minimal supervision, performs diverse administrative and some advanced secretarial duties often of a confidential and/or complex nature. This position exists to assist in the management of the department Faculty’s obligations as well as day-to-day management activities. This position may supervise other clerical staff.

Position Requirements:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED and three years responsible clerical experience involving standard secretarial duties. Must be able to type 50 WPM accurately. Strong word processing skills, slide presentations, ability to use calculator and prioritize work. Excellent verbal and written skills required. Must be able to compose, edit and proofread work, as well as work independently with excellent judgment skills.
