Department's Website:Summary of Job Duties:Under direct supervision, provides accurate and timely solutions to faculty classroom technology setup and problem resolution: audiovisual equipment, computer and software. Performs restorative and maintenance actions either remotely or in the classroom to resolve problems, using basic troubleshooting and technical skills. Reports immediately to Senior or Lead team member in situations where standard procedures have failed in isolating or fixing problem equipment, software installations, or configuration changes. After hours and weekend on-call duty every 10 weeks.
Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, Education, Engineering or related field of study -OR- Associate Degree in Information Technology, Education, Engineering or related field of study with 2 yrs. of combined experience in IT Technical Support or Classroom Technology or audio visual system installation -OR- High School Diploma/GED 4 yrs. of combined experience in IT Technical Support or Classroom Technology or audio visual system installation.
• Work may require working on ladders, installing equipment and wiring on and above ceiling.
• Must be able focus projectors on screens and set audio levels in large rooms.
• Some work is in confined space. Installation work may require extensive bending, squatting and lying down.
• Required to be on-call and to respond immediately to trouble calls outside of general work hours. Work occasionally may require in excess of eight hours per day.
• Workload pressure will regularly subject incumbent to moderate to high job-related stress.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Customer Service Experience
• Certified Technology Specialist (CTS)
