Summary of Job Duties : Part-Time position from 08 / 19 / 24-05 / 31 / 25, located in Northwest, AR

The Community Health Worker II position allows for a learning experience in various aspects of social science research while supporting various grant and contract deliverables for the Department of Family Medicine, Research and Evaluation Division.

This position will assist in Project Development and Research activities, coordinate and collaborate with the Benton County Drug staff, DCSF.

The Community Health Worker II will attend Drug Court, network with other partnering agencies and will provide clinical support and programing by completing eligibility screenings to determine the track of services needed, conduct family support assessment and develop Individualized Family Support Plan, administer Child and Adolescence Trauma Screening and well as provide a written or oral summary to the drug court staff.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in social work or related field or High School diploma / GED plus four (4) years of general experience in community outreach, education, case management, and administration experience required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

Knowledge of diverse and vulnerable populations and the internal / external impacts on the individual and the family unit;

skills in rapport building.

Empathic listing and communication;(written & oral); ability to set professional boundaries with clients.

Ability to prioritize client and family needs and link to resources and services thereof.

Strong attention to detail; ability to work on multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Excellent PC skills with demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Package (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications :

Knowledge of substance use disorders, trauma, and mental health disorders, and knowledge in child development.

Knowledge of community resources, programs, and services for children and families in the Northwest Arkansas area.

Knowledge of and ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team, ability to summarize client intervention via oral and in writing.

Enrollment in the Master's Social Work program at a UA institution.

Responsibilities :

Assists with the Parents and Children Together (PACT) contract on the Northwest Team of Research and Evaluation Division (RED) within Department of Family & Preventive Medicine.

Assist with community / team collaboration, clinical support & programming and family outreach, referrals and case management services.

Coordinate and collaborate with community partners in the county drug court programs and other agencies serving children and families.

Provide clinical support like screenings, assessments, connections to resources

Provide direct family case management, facilitation or one-on-one / group psychoeducational sessions.

Perform other duties as assigned.
