OverviewUberEther’s IAM Advantage, which is our new managed services offering, is growing. We’re looking for a DevOps team member to help us maintain our platform. This is an entry level position. If you’re a self-starter and information systems engineer looking to get into containerization (e.g. Docker & Kubernetes), understand continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), and cybersecurity products–this is the position for you. The candidate will:
Be a key member of a growing Managed Services team
Knowledge worker and self starter who loves to learn
Have good technical troubleshooting and systems engineering skills
Learn and master our managed services environment
Daily Responsibilities:
Operations and maintenance tasks such as: OS level patching, Application updates, SIEM log review and maintenance
Additional ResponsibilitiesThe candidate should constantly be looking for opportunities to enhance your professional body of knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging practices and standards; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; and participating in professional organizations. Qualifications:
US Citizen
A bachelor's in computer science, information systems or other related fields; or equivalent work experience
Systems engineering mindset wanting to learn and solve big problems
2 years of work experience as a systems engineer (windows, linux, database, etc)
Willingness to learn DoD Zero Trust Reference Architecture inclusive of DoD Networks, Architecture, Identity & Credential Access Mgmt (ICAM) stacks
Required SkillsMust know some of the following technologies and capabilities:
Good understanding of cloud capabilities for each area: Infrastructure-as-a-Service, Platform-as-a-Service, and Software-as-a-Service (in particular, AWS)
Understanding of OSI layers (in particular-Layer 3, Layer, 4, Layer 7)
Scripting language such as powershell, perl, etc
Good troubleshooting skills at the hardware/network, OS, database, and application levels
Keen eye for log and systems/event analysis
Desired but not necessary:
Secret clearance (or ability to obtain an interim Security clearance)
Experience with most common enterprise IAM, Networking, and Application Security tool sets
