Your role

Do you have a flair for the written word and an eye for fair and balanced content? Does your financial sector experience span a broad range of investment topics, asset classes, and regions? If so, we are seeking a Supervisory Analyst (FINRA Series 16) to join the Global Wealth Management Chief Investment Office. The candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of related work experience in an investment research environment providing review and approval of content, editing and enhancing the impact of that content as needed combined with a high-quality work ethic.
You’ll be a member of a US-based team working together with an extended global team to perform regulatory review and approval of investment research. Distinct from many SA roles, we publish on wide variety of asset classes, including equities (including preferreds), fixed income (credit, sovereign, munis), FX, closed-end funds, ETFs, private markets, and derivative strategies. As a wealth management firm, we place great emphasis on the readability of our research to account for our clients’ diverse backgrounds. This role offers the candidate the opportunity to broaden their exposure and expertise and achieve additional professional qualifications.
We’re looking for someone who can:

  • Demonstrate confidence in influencing investment research content, including challenging analyst assumptions
  • Demonstrate experience with copy editing and proofreading to the highest standards given a wide variation of English writing styles and usage, while elevating them to a consistent, professional level
  • Interact with key internal stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure rapid time-to-market of investment recommendations while adhering to regulatory requirements and business policies
  • Attention to detail, flexibility in work schedule, and resourcefulness are key, in addition to the ability to review content through the lens of a wealth management client
  • Perform well under pressure and deliver on short timelines

Wealth Management's Global Chief Investment Office (CIO) synthesizes the analysis and expertise of our global network of economists, strategists, and analysts. We are present around the globe, closely monitoring and assessing financial developments, and identifying emerging trends or economic inflection points. Our team's primary goal is to identify and effectively communicate investment opportunities and market risks to help preserve and grow our clients' wealth.>

Your expertise

  • As a minimum, active FINRA Series 16. A Series 24 and 53 are a plus.
  • Experience conducting regulatory reviews and approval of a wide spectrum of content.
  • Strong English writing and editing skills
  • Experience with vast variation of English writing styles and usage and elevating them to a consistent, professional level
  • Familiarity with digital publishing environments and some knowledge of social media channels
  • Have some familiarity with environmental, societal, and governance (ESG) strategies and terminology

Salary information

CA, CO, WA and NY based roles: The salary range for this role is $130,000 to $170,000 based on experience, education, and skill level. This role may be eligible for discretionary incentive compensation. For benefits information: ubs.com/usbenefits.
