This recruitment is for Temporary Clinical Research Coordinator positions through UCI's internal temporary staffing service.
Duties Include, But Are Not Limited ToCreate and prepare all aspects of regulatory protocol submissions to the CCR Administration Teams.
Prepare new studies, modifications, renewals, final closure applications, and create consent documents.
Communicate with internal committee administrators, investigators, research personnel, and study sponsors.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and university policies.
Incumbent is responsible for all aspects of clinical research from initiation through completion of research projects with human subjects. Incumbent will conduct interviews with study patients in the clinic, screen participants, and collect data in compliance with established study protocols. Incumbent will develop and establish process for review and oversight of clinical trials conducted by investigators and will ensure study protocols are followed, appropriate documentation is kept, and accurate data is collected.
Your Role on the Team
  • Attention to detail; strong interpersonal skills; excellent, effective verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with subjects, team members, other departments and outside institutions; and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Required
  • Ability to work well independently, complete projects in a timely manner, and prioritize multiple projects to ensure the completion of essential tasks by deadlines Required
  • Fluency in the usage of Committee of Human Research (CHR) online iMEDris system for submission, renewal, and modification of protocols through this system. Required
  • Understanding of patient population to create rapport and a relationship, while also giving insight to what is realistic and appropriate for patient participation. Required
  • Experience with electronic medical records. Required
  • Knowledge of location specific and departmental policies for dealing with reimbursement, guidelines for research, confidentiality and HIPPA regulations, following the location's mission statement and purpose for research, and a clear understanding of poli Required
  • Experience applying the following regulations and guidelines: Good Clinical Practice Guidelines, Health Information and Accountability Act (HIPAA), The Protection of Human Research Subjects, CHR regulations for recruitment and consent of research subjects, Effective Cash Handling Procedures, Environmental Health and Safety Training, Fire Safety Training Required

TEMPORARY EMPLOYMENTThis is a temporary employment recruitment reporting to the UCI Temporary Employment Services (TES) Department. Interviewing and hiring is based on internal hiring needs and how well the candidate's experience matches the assignment requirements. Certain temporary assignments may require clearance of a health physical or require a valid California Driver’s License for driving university vehicles.
The majority of our temporary positions are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. We also have occasional part-time, weekend, and evening hours available, depending on the assignment. Comprehensive benefits options are also available for temporary employees, including paid vacation, holidays, and sick leave.
