Our client, an amazing non-profit organization is seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join their team and help us manage their financial records.
In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, reviewing, and verifying invoices and check requests. You will ensure that all check requests are properly authorized and coded to the appropriate ledger accounts. Using Blackbaud, you will enter invoices for payment and perform a weekly check run. Your expertise in posting transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records will be crucial in maintaining accurate financial data.
As the Bookkeeper, you will also be responsible for reconciling accounts payable transactions and resolving any credits or discrepancies. It will be your responsibility to maintain vendor files and archives annually. Additionally, you will update the cash receipt journal daily and use your discretion and courtesy when discussing tuition payment issues with families.
Our client place high value on providing exceptional customer service to the families, which is why they need someone who can assist them with general inquiries regarding FACTS tuition management. You'll also play an essential role in helping the organization prepare month-end closing reports.
Other duties of this position include maintaining and requesting certificates of insurance as well as ordering office supplies on a monthly basis.
