DescriptionUCFS is currently seeking a full-time (40hr) Development Manager to research, apply for, and monitor implementation of public and private grants. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with preparing and submitting reports to funders, as well as developing and participating in community outreach events designed to create new relationships with potential patients, referral organizations and community partners, and assisting the Vice President of Business Development with fundraising initiatives by performing the following job duties:
Essential Responsibilities-
  • Researches grant opportunities for the purpose of developing a diverse network of funding sources for both current and proposed services, programs and administrative operations. Serve as a clearinghouse for potential grant funding opportunities.
  • Maintain and meet schedule of grant deadlines and reporting due dates, track proposal submissions, complete follow ups, and draft relevant correspondence. Notify stakeholders of opportunities as well as success/failure in obtaining funding. Facilitate hand-off meeting if successful in obtaining funding.
  • Responsible for compiling data and narratives and submitting proposals.
  • Meet the grant funding threshold established annually.
  • Play an integral role in promoting UCFS’s mission and brand on a local community level and is responsible for developing multiple layers of engagement and outreach for the organization.
  • Develop, nurture and cultivate partnerships and methods for engagement with the local community, and work closely with community partners to plan, participate in and execute various outreach events.
  • Plan and implement outreach strategies, maintain a calendar for outreach events and coordinate schedule with UCFS employees who can enhance the event by participating.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • A minimum of 5-years of combined experience in non-profit grant writing and development experience
  • Demonstrated fund development and project management success with a range of grants and gifts
  • Extensive experience developing proposal budgets and submitting online applications
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft (Word, Excel, and Outlook), on-line research, and general familiarity with databases
