Job Type Full-time DescriptionUCFS is looking for candidates who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others! We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as an Intensive Family Preservation (IFP) Case Worker. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide intensive, home-based intervention services to families for the purpose of preventing child removal and improving parenting. Responsibilities
Conduct intakes and comprehensive assessments of families to identify areas of need and develop individualized service plans
Provide in-home counseling, interventions and support services to families including responding to client crisis calls during work-day and rotating after-hours coverage
Collaborate with community resources and service providers to ensure families receive necessary support
Monitor and evaluate progress of families and adjust service plans as needed
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all services provided
This position requires 20% - 40% travel to client locations and “non-traditional” hours, including evenings and/or weekends based on the family’s needs. Some limited transport of clients may be necessary.

Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience working with families in crisis
Bilingual language skills (Spanish/English)
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
CPR certification is required within 4 weeks of hire.
Knowledge of DCF system and community resources preferred
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
