The CSE student appointee will focus on the research based on the collaborative project between Argonne-CSE (Lee) and CUNY (Bracco) entitled “Inhibition of Impurity Adsorption and Nucleation at Mineral-Water Interfaces via Chelator Adsorption.” A large body of the appointee’s research will be conducted virtually through which the CSE supervisor will provide guidance of the analysis of the data collected using Argonne resources and facilities, including atomic force microscopy (in CSE) and Advanced Photon Source (APS). The appointee will also visit Argonne once in summer for data collection under supervision by the CSE personnel. The appointee will also make presentation(s) in scientific conferences and will prepare manuscripts and reports for publication.
