The Director provides services to meet physician and HealthSystem objectives in the following areas: a) patient care, teaching and research, b) clinical resource management, and c) developing and administering an operating budget for capital, and programs. Maintains responsibility for the direction, administration, quality, coordination, and evaluation of patient care activities, and support services are efficiently performed to support patient care in each of the Cost Centers in the Division. Maintains direct supervision of the Managers and indirect supervision of staff FTEs 7days a week, 24 hours a day. Salary RangeAnnual RateMinimum $154,200.00 Midpoint $237,600.00 Maximum $321,000.00 Required QualificationsBachelor of Science, Nursing Demonstrated ability to develop and implement programs and services Strong customer service orientation with an ability to interact effectively with all levels including staff, senior management, physicians, patients, and families Computer familiarity using MS Office and Outlook Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Demonstrated ability to problem solve and provide effective leadership with a positive focus that will enhance the nursing services of the Division, providing optimal patient-oriented health care in an efficient and cost-effective manner Strong clinical skills Demonstrated management experience in a healthcare environment Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties Licenses And CertificationsRegistered Nurse (Required) Preferred QualificationsMaster of Business Admin Master of Healthcare Admin Master of Science in Nursing RN Certification in specialty area or management, within 3 years of hire Experience working in a UC and/or union environment Results oriented attitude with excellent budgeting and financial skills Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms Knowledge of the Orange County healthcare market Conditions Of EmploymentThe University of California, Irvine (UCI) seeks to provide a safe and healthy environment for the entire UCI community.
