Perform therapeutic intervention as needed, drug information and consultation to other professional staff and patients, the maintenance of patient profiles, attendance at cardio-pulmonary emergencies, drug therapy monitoring, and drug compounding. The Staff Pharmacist is also responsible for directing technicians, performing inventory control, and actively precepting pharmacy residents, students, technicians or interns as assigned by the supervisor. This position is a Direct Care Provider as defined in Pharmacy Policy. Salary RangeHourly RateMinimum $89.91 Midpoint $89.91 Maximum $89.91 Required QualificationsCurrent BLS or ACLS upon hire Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English One year of clinical experience as a licensed pharmacist or completion of PGY1 by time of hire Possession of the legal requirements for the practice of pharmacy as determined by the CA Board of Pharmacy Must have current knowledge of drug references, Joint Commission requirements, and other regulatory standards Ability to extract pertinent information from the patient or other sources and relate it to the patient’s medical management plan Graduation from an accredited School of Pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree CA Board of Pharmacy Registered Pharmacist licensure in good standing Conditions Of EmploymentThe University of California, Irvine (UCI) seeks to provide a safe and healthy environment for the entire UCI community.
