Position SummaryThe medical telemetry registered nurse provides direct patient care, in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, to assigned patients in the intensive care unit. The registered nurse is supportive, compassionate, efficient, detail-oriented team player with excellent interpersonal skills and who collaboratively maintains plan of care for the highly vulnerable patients.

Required QualificationsRequired: Current California RN license. Initial Dysrhythmia Recognition within 90 days of hire. Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certification. NIHSS within 90 days of hire. Recent Acute Care experience in Telemetry
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
