Job Summary:
The purpose of the Benefits Specialist is to assist the Benefits Manager in the effective and timely administration of Children's benefits programs consisting of medical, dental, vision, prescription, life insurance, long-term disability, leaves of absence, and 403 (b) plans for all benefits-eligible union and non-union employees.

Job Requirements:
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and work related experience.
Minimum Experience: 3-5 years previous experience in benefits administration, preferably in a health care environment. Experience and knowledge of compensation and HRIS preferred.
Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of personal computer/HRIS systems. Microsoft Office. Word processing software, spreadsheet software, database software preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Current knowledge of state and federal laws pertaining to benefits administration. Ability to work independently, problem solve and handle multiple priorities.
