About this role

As a Business Development Representative, you will be strategizing with your paired UBLA Account Executive, reaching out to Fortune 1000 companies, and providing valued insights and stories that showcase Udemy Business's unique value proposition. With a plethora of innovative sales automation tools at your fingertips, you will become a prospecting master, continually learning new skills that will prepare you for a long and illustrious career in sales (or any path you decide to take).

What you'll be doing

  • Increasing revenue through outbound activities including calling, emailing, in-mailing, and direct mail
  • Support the UBLA Account Executive in managing the sales cycle for opportunities in the pipeline
  • Understanding and conveying the Udemy Business Leadership Academy mission, value proposition, and solution
  • Becoming a brand ambassador by getting to know and love the Udemy Business Leadership Academy product and story
  • Experimenting with new and creative prospecting strategies
  • Continually improving sales skills to attain quota and grow as a sales professional

What you'll have

  • A strong desire to be in sales
  • Experience with 1 year of lead qualification, business development or similar skills

  • Outstanding organizational and time-management skills

  • Prospecting Mastery: You excel at identifying and reaching out to potential clients, using a variety of outbound strategies to generate interest and build a robust sales pipeline. You optimize your outreach efforts and continuously refine your approach to connect with key decision-makers.
  • Sales Acumen: You possess a deep understanding of the sales process, from prospecting to closing, and excel at identifying and seizing opportunities that others might overlook. You continuously refine your approach, staying attuned to market trends and feedback to deliver consistent, high-impact results.
  • Interpersonal Skills: You listen actively to understand the unique perspectives and needs of your clients, ensuring that your communication is always clear, relevant, and impactful. You effectively nurture relationships and convert opportunities for UBLA.
  • Communication: You are crisp, engaging, and professional in your calls with prospects, finding ways to pique their interest in solving the business challenges that Udemy is uniquely positioned to address.
