Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the parts department operations, including inventory management, ordering, receiving, and distribution of parts
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of parts
- Coordinate with service technicians to ensure proper parts availability for repairs and maintenance
- Maintain accurate records of parts inventory, including tracking usage, conducting regular audits, and reconciling discrepancies
- Implement and enforce safety protocols in the parts department
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with parts inquiries, orders, and returns
- Train and supervise parts department staff, including hiring, scheduling, and performance management
Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role as a Parts Manager or Assistant Parts Manager is required
- Strong knowledge of automotive parts and dealership operations
- Proficient in inventory management systems and data entry
- Familiarity with equipment repair is a plus
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with customers, suppliers, and team members
