Michiana Behavioral Health is seeking a full-time Dietary Aid to work 10:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. The Dietary Aid is responsible for:

  • Assisting in preparation of the salad bar
  • Ensuring the dining room and kitchen remain clean at all time
  • Assisting in the preparation and delivery of patient meals and unit supplies
  • Operating the dish machine
  • Assisting the Cook as needed

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Comply with established guidelines for sanitation and safety
  • Set up the salad bar and prepare vegetables, salads and other salad bar items in a neat and orderly fashion 
  • Ensure the salad bar displays an attractive and tasteful appearance
  • Utilize portion control guidelines when preparing food
  • Record dish machine temperatures as required
  • Follow cleaning assignments of the dining room and kitchen area daily
  • Interact well with patients in the serving line providing good customer service and offer assistance when needed
