As an active member of the Assessment & Referral team, the Psychiatric/Mobile Assessment Team Clinician conducts psychiatric assessments for patients at Inland Northwest Behavioral Health, in contracted ER’s/facilities throughout Spokane County, and through mobile tele-assessment when needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Master’s Degree or higher from an accredited program in social work, mental health or related behavioral field and or RN with MHP recognition.
Experience: A minimum of two (2) years direct clinical experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting, with direct experience in patient assessment, family dynamics, treatment planning, and communication with external review organizations. Experience with high intensity crisis work preferred.
Licensure: Washington State License required. LMHC, LMHCA, LCSW, LCSWA, PH.D. Psy.D or RN or equivalent licensure with MHP recognition.
Additional Requirements: Thorough knowledge of crisis intervention techniques. Thorough knowledge of the DSM-5. Demonstrated knowledge of medical necessity criteria for all levels of care including inpatient, outpatient and SUD/detox services. Demonstrable skill in assessing all age groups. Current certifications in Handle With Care, Verbal De-Escalation, Healthcare Provider CPR & 1st Aid are required and will be provided by INBH.

Physical, Mental, and Special Demands |
· Ability to stand or walk up to six hours, sit for up to two hours. |
· Ability to spend 20% of the workday outdoors in temperatures varying from 30° F. to 100°F and 80% of the workday indoors in temperatures varying form 60° F. to 85° F. |
· Ability to occasionally push/pull wheeled carts from 200lbs. (i.e. crash carts, patient on stretchers or in wheelchairs). |
· Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 10 pounds; occasionally lift and carry up to 100 pounds. |
· Ability to see well enough to read written materials. |
· Ability to discern a variety of odors. |
· Ability to handle hazardous/infectious waste on an occasional basis. |
