Our team of professionals includes board-certified child/adolescent and adult psychiatrists, licensed clinical therapists, nurses and mental health associates who are here to help people reconnect with their families, friends and employers so that they may lead productive lives. As a member of the Leadership Team, the Assistant Director of Clinical Services works closely with the Director of Clinical Services to help provide oversight and direction to the Clinical Services team. The ADCS will interfaces with referral sources, community service agencies, businesses, employers, and healthcare facilities; ensures compliance for quality patient care and compliance with JCAHO standards, State Health Department requirements, and all other regulatory standards. The ADCS will also be available to help provide direct patient care as needed.

Qualifications

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Current Arkansas license in specialty required, LCSW preferred. 
  • Must be in good standing with licensing board and maintain licensure as a condition of employment.
  • Current CPR and Handle with Care certifications, offered onsite.

Total education, vocational training and experience:

  • Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling.
  • Documented experience working with adults (ages 18 – plus).
  • Minimum of three (3) years mental health experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Must have effective verbal and written communication skills to communicate in a clear, concise manner with referral sources, hospital staff and the public, as well as provide accurate and timely documentation and record keeping.
  • Good organizational and time management skills to cope with a fast-paced environment and frequent interruptions, complex schedules and fluctuations in census is required.
  • Knowledge of the physical, emotional, and cultural characteristics of patients who have psychiatric, chemical dependency, and behavioral problems.
  • Ability to continually identify and assess the emotional needs of the patient, and to measure the patient’s progress.
    Knowledge of community resources.
