Postion Summary: 

Under the direction of the CNO, the Nurse Manager provides continuous nursing care in the assigned area(s) in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of the Hospital and within the framework of established policies and procedures of the Department of Nursing Services. The Nurse Manager is responsible for the clinical leadership and coordination of all nursing personnel. As a key team member in the clinical area, the Nurse Manager promotes a climate of effective performance through role modeling, willingness to learn and teach, and availability to patients and staff. Organizes, manages and coordinates nursing services and will assure quality nursing care utilizing the nursing process, as outlined by the Nurse Practice Act. Functions as representative for Chief Nursing Officer, in the CNO’s absence. Assists with the assigned area(s) through nursing responsibilities including patient care, facilitating groups or other duties as directed by the CNO. Responsible as the Infection Control nurse who actively participates in preventing or stopping the spread of infection in the healthcare setting. This Nurse Manager will have the responsibilities of infection control including gathering and analyzing infection data to make evidence-based decisions. This Nurse Manager will educate all staff on infection prevention protocols to facilitate emergency procedures.

Job Requirements: 

• Current license to practice nursing in Arizona or compact privileges.
• Minimum of a Bachelor's in Nursing Requierd. 
• Minimum of 3 year of experience working in a psychiatric setting with patients aged 12-65yrs ., including charge nurse. 
• Must have or able to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.
