UHY LLP, Certified Public Accountants is Hiring a Director of Marketing And Business Development Near Detroit, MI

A great UHY client is seeking a Director of Business Development, Marketing, and PR to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 7 years of experience with Business Development, experience with the Architecture industry (preferred), experience with ‘InDesign” Software (preferred), and experience writing and responding to RFPs.

The Director of Business Development is a hybrid role (flexible schedule required to support evening and weekend hours as needed). This is a client direct hire position.

Director of Business Development Responsibilities:

Business Development Leadership :

  • Leads short and long term planning efforts to support firm-wide goals; includes annual business plan, branch office analyses, strategic investments and initiatives.
  • Assists as part of leadership team on firm-wide financial modeling and budgeting.
  • Regularly attend social events to develop business relationships and support the growth of firm
  • project opportunities.
  • Leads all RFP/0 response decisions; chairs proposal strategy meetings.
  • Over sees production of all proposals, presentations and client interviews.
  • Attends proposal pre-bid meetings.
  • Leads consultant teaming negotiations and proposal fee strategies.
  • Develops media plan to support firm's overall business goals and communicate firm's brand message.
  • Strategizes all sponsorships, advertisements and charitable contributions.
  • Serves as HAA liaison for external and special events.
  • Develops annual Business Development and Marketing plan, budget and sales projections.
  • Chairs weekly Business Development/Marketing meetings.
  • Participate in the recruiting process for the Business Development/Marketing Team, when needed.
  • Oversee the supervision of the Business Development/Marketing team, which includes work allocation, training, and problem resolution, when a team is required.
  • Advise HAA Management Team of Business Development and Marketing best practices and opportunities.

Marketing Leadership :

  • Direct overall marketing and strategic sales planning programs.
  • Evaluate and support client relations including client satisfaction surveys, product launches, business development strategy, and other special events.
  • Ensure effective, branded marketing communications including company website, print communication, social media, internal branding efforts and advertising.
  • Analyze the effectiveness of all marketing efforts.
  • Conduct competitive market analysis to formulate marketing recommendations for promotional strategies.
  • Manage external marketing partners, such as advertising agencies and production companies.
  • Develop and uphold branding standards and usage guidelines.

Director of Business Development Experience:

  • Minimum of seven years of progressive Business Development and Marketing leadership experience.
  • Degree from a U.S accredited university or higher educational institution in Marketing, Business, Communications, or other related fields.
  • Project management experience, preferred.
  • Experience in the Architecture industry, preferred.
  • Experience in producing Requests for Proposals, required.
  • Experience using the lnDesign platform.
