A great UHY client is seeking a Financial Data Analyst to join their team. The Financial Data Analyst will play a key role supporting our Finance and IT teams by providing comprehensive financial analysis and reporting. This position involves working closely with various departments to gather data, analyze trends, and support the development of various reports and dashboards. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, proficiency in data management, and a deep understanding of financial principles.

The Financial Data Analyst role is an onsite position with flexibility. This is a client direct hire position.

Financial Data Analyst Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis to support business decision-making, including variance analysis, trend identification, and scenario planning.
• Data Management: Collect, validate, and analyze large datasets from various sources. Ensure data integrity and accuracy.
• Reporting: Prepare and present reports and dashboards to senior management. Translate complex data into clear and actionable insights.
• Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives and business planning.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Accounting, Operations, and Marketing, to gather relevant data and support financial planning efforts.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in financial analysis and reporting.
• Ad Hoc Analysis: Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting as required to support various business needs.

Financial Data Analyst Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.
• 2 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, data analysis, or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, ability to create complex queries to return relevant data
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong multitasking capabilities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel and Access
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Good interpersonal skills to work with different management levels
