A great UHY client is seeking a Accounts Payable Analyst to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Accounting or Finance, have an understanding of Accounting/General Ledger Accounts, and strong Excel experience.

The Accounts Payable Analyst role is a hybrid position being in office 3 days a week (Mon, Tues, Wed). This is a client direct hire position.

Accounts Payable Analyst Responsibilities:

• Assist with inputting invoices into Accounts Payable system, Yardi.
• Match invoices and supporting documentation for checks, as needed.
• Payment to vendors by scheduling and preparing checks, and issuance of checks.
• Deliver checks to authorized signers for their review and signature.
• Preparation of checks in envelopes to be distributed via mail or via FedEx.
• Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting AP account transactions.
• Maintains historical records by scanning and filing documents.
• Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
• Communicate with third party vendors and internal departments regarding payments.
• Obtain, sort, and organize invoices received in the mail.
• Assist with monthly accounting tasks.
• Assist with treasury functions, such as ACH and wire initiation, transfers, and stop payments.
• Assist with voiding and reissuing checks
• Assist with monthly investor distributions and serve as the back up to processing distributions, as needed.
• Assist with front desk/receptionist duties, as needed.
• Other ad hoc tasks, as required or assigned.

Accounts Payable Analyst Skills/Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in Business, Accounting, Finance, or relevant degree
• 1-3 years of relevant work experience
• Ability to work independently and on a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft: Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Must be detail oriented
