Business Analyst

Bowhead seeks a meticulous and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our collaborative team supporting the Security Assistance Management Directorate (SAMD). The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to interpret data from various sources effectively. This role involves analyzing data tracked in different formats across multiple spreadsheets, identifying patterns, discrepancies, and trends, and translating insights into actionable responses to taskers. Your work will help guide decision-making across multiple organizations and directly impact global security assistance by boosting interoperability with foreign partners and supporting the warfighter in a meaningful way.

Responsibilities

The Business Analyst will work closely the team to understand their questions and needs and then dig into various source documents to find the pieces of information to solve the puzzle. Not only will you provide a clear understanding of the data, but you’ll also advise on what the information means and how they can derive insights from it.

• Data Analysis: Analyze and interpret data from diverse spreadsheets to understand variations in data tracking methodologies and nuances.
• Pattern Recognition: Identify patterns, discrepancies, and trends across datasets to provide meaningful insights.
• Data Integrity: Ensure data integrity and accuracy by performing thorough data validation and reconciliation processes.
• Communication: Translate data insights into clear and concise reports or presentations to respond effectively to taskers and stakeholders.
• Process Improvement: Recommend and implement improvements to data tracking methodologies and reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, clarify data-related inquiries, and provide analytical support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (preferred) 
• 2 to 5 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience resolving highly sensitive and complex problems.
• Highly organized with the ability to see both the details and the big picture.
• Ability to synthesize and communicate information clearly based upon information from disparate sources.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
• Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
