UIC is Hiring a Health Care Administrator I - Nursing Resource Office Near Chicago, IL

Reporting directly to the department Director and/or designee, employees at this level effectively and independently monitor information processing functions for the department including staffing resource allocation, establishment of work standards, determination of work priorities, and problem solving. This position will attend and represent the department at applicable meetings, and assist in the administration and coordination of patient expiration, which may include monitoring and/or administering specific, moderately complex hospital activities. Responsible for managing the day-to-day department operations to maintain customer satisfaction and support across the organization. This position collaborates with physicians, employees, leadership and funeral home staff as deemed necessary.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a resource and consults with departments across the organization on processes, and policies related to Patient Expiration.
  • Develops education/informational materials, policies, and procedure documents related to Patient Expiration.
  • Assembles data and prepares a variety of administrative reports.
  • Assists in making recommendations during budget planning.
  • Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
