Under general supervision, performs duties relating to the receiving, storing, and issuance of supplies in the Physical Plant Material Distribution/Procurement storeroom/warehouse operation. The position reports to the Stores Supervisor who reports directly to the Service Enterprise Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities:

Accept incoming material from Shipping & Receiving and/or directly from the Vendor trucks. This includes but is not limited to: 1) Check incoming goods against requisitions to be filled to insure accuracy as to quantity, description of goods ordered, and compliance with specifications. 2) Load and unload various stock when required.

Organize and store material. This includes but is not limited to: 1) Store goods on shelves or in racks in a safe manner that lends itself to efficient retrieval when necessary. 2) Handle and store special items in a manner that requires exceptional storage procedures. 3) Exercise caution while using material handling equipment. 4) Exercise special handling and precautionary measures for fragile or bulky items.

Issue material to authorized personnel upon request.

Assist in monitoring material inventory levels. This includes, but is not limited to: 1) Maintain accurate records of goods received and issued. 2) Mark goods with identifying codes, figures, or letters when required. 3) Suggest reordering points to maintain proper stocking levels. 4) Assist in an annual inventory.

Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the storeroom and warehouse areas.

Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
