ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN: (F3009-2024-20973)
Bowhead seeks an Engineering Technician to join the Aircraft Battery Support contract at Crane, IN. The Engineering Technician will be working with engineers and must have knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical measurement skills and must have experience with the quality process.
ResponsibilitiesEssential responsibilities will include:

• Process Supervisor Certification
• Equipment Repair
• Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Training and Hazard Analysis (HA)
• Technician support to provide testing and technical support for Aircraft Battery of Nickel-Cadmium (Ni-CD), Lead-Acid, Nickel-Zinc, Lithium primary, and Lithium-Ion (Li-ion) type batteries.
• Provide data analysis and safety assessments
• Test System Software support
• Database development
• Hardware design
• Ability to support testing of lot/production, abusive testing, life cycle testing support for new and legacy Lithium-Ion (Li-ion) Battery.
• Ability to assist in developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
• Contractor must use and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in electronics or equivalent relevant experience as a Areospace technician.
• Process Supervisor Certification is required.
• Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
• Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
