Responsibilities
- Design and implement computer and information networks, such as LAN, Wide Area Networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, and other data communications networks.
- Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning, including analysis of capacity needs for network infrastructures.
- Design network and computer security measures.
- Research and recommend network and data communications hardware and software.
- Required: MA/MS degree.
- Required: ten (10) years of experience performing duties described in the functional description.
- Allowable Substitutions: Bachelor’s degree plus two (2) years additional work experience performing duties described in the functional description of the labor category may be substituted for a master’s degree. OR Associate degree plus four (4) years additional work experience performing duties described in the functional description of the labor category may be substituted for a Master’s Degree. OR Six (6) years additional work experience performing duties described in the functional description of the labor category may be substituted for a master’s degree.
- Must be able to process a variety of information, evaluate costs and benefits, and solve complex problems.
- Desired: At least four (4) years of enterprise architecture experience.
- Experience creating Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) artifacts and mapping data requirements to Logistics Information Technology systems.
- Experience with NMCI network setups, Optimized Organizational Maintenance Activity (OOMA) Baseline, Portable Electronic Maintenance Aides (PEMAs), and the NAVAIR Programs of Record.
- Must poses s c ommunication skills, writing skills and be detail oriented.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 5 to 10 pounds
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
- Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
