Job Description
  • This is an onsite position no remote work is available.
  • Accountable for the conversion of diagnoses and treatment procedures into codes using an international classification of diseases. Requires skill in the sequencing of diagnoses/procedures by coding guidelines. Ensures that records are coded in an accurate and timely manner.
Job Requirements
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • 1 or more years of previous hospital experience as a Coder preferred.
  • Knowledge of diagnoses/procedures by ICD-9-CM coding principles for acute care facilities.
  • Ability to work with physicians collaboratively.
