Ultimate Charities is Hiring a Business Development Associate Near Fairfax, VA
As a Development Associate, you will play a vital role in supporting the development team in all aspects of fundraising and donor relations. You'll work closely with our team to identify funding opportunities, cultivate donor relationships, and execute fundraising strategies to support our clients' missions.
Responsibilities:
- Research prospective donors, grant opportunities, and corporate sponsorships to support fundraising efforts.
- Assist in the development and execution of fundraising campaigns and events, including donor cultivation events, galas, and online fundraising initiatives.
- Build and maintain relationships with current and prospective donors, communicating the impact of their support and stewarding their contributions.
- Prepare grant proposals, sponsorship packages, and other fundraising materials to solicit support from individuals, foundations, and corporations.
- Manage donor databases and CRM systems to track donor interactions, gifts, and stewardship activities.
- Coordinate donor acknowledgment and recognition, including thank-you letters, plaques, and donor appreciation events.
- Assist in the creation of fundraising reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in fundraising and nonprofit development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, fundraising, communications, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, or donor relations is a plus but not required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate the organization's mission and impact to diverse audiences.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and cultivate relationships with donors and stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
