Ultimate Staffing is seeking a Electrical Test Technician for our client in Pleasanton! This is a 100% onsite, temp to perm position, working a Monday-Thursday 10 hour shift from 6am-5pm and a starting pay of $28 - $34 an hour based on experience.

Quality Assurance Test Technician

JOB SUMMARY

• Tests, inspects, or measures internally manufactured materials or procured products to verify compliance with Customer furnished engineering drawings and procedures.
• Completes associated documentation and reports.
• Makes entries in the QMS database

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Complete continuity testing (point-to-point wiring verification)
• Verify wiring workmanship (crimps and routing)
• Functional QC test - Hi Pot Test or Meg Ohm Test
• Power Wiring - Verify phasing is correct throughout the control panel and that wire sizing is sufficient for available overcurrent protection
• Perform 100% pull test
• QC - Torque & Torque Seal Applied
• Produce reports of inspection / test acceptance or non-conformance and make appropriate computer entries.
• Use programs in the computerized test machines
• Prepare materials for test applications
• Perform mechanical testing of test samples including operation of computerized screw driver test machines.
• Maintain full documentation of test program through pictures, notes, tables, charts, and computer printouts.
• Assist other personnel in the test department.
• Maintain test area, equipment, and test samples in a clean and orderly manner.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

• Able to read and interpret documents such as engineering requirements, safety rules, and quality assurance manual.
• Able to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Able to speak effectively.

REASONING ABILITY

• Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form with some assistance.
• Able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables.

REQUIREMENTS

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
• The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance;
