Job Title: Supply Planner

Location: Beaverton, Oregon

Salary: $80,000 - $110,000

Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Supply Planner to join our team. In this role, you will lead supply planning and buying activities for a specific business segment, ensuring efficient and effective supply chain operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead all supply planning and buying functions for a specific business segment.
  • Analyze and develop supply plans using sales forecasts, current inventory, and historical consumption trends.
  • Provide feedback to Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) teams based on actual inventory movement.
  • Communicate with stakeholders on product status updates, transit challenges, and solutions.
  • Execute buying activities including purchase order (PO) placement, supplier product returns, PO credits, and replacement part management.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on supply planning functions.
  • Manage and collaborate cross-functionally to achieve strategic business objectives, maintain inventory targets, and improve supply chain efficiency.
  • Continuously evaluate inventory status of owned SKUs to ensure the effectiveness and accuracy of buy plans.
  • Develop accurate supply plans across multiple business channels aligned with sales forecasts.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations teams for consistent forecast inputs.
  • Develop analyses providing insight into the business's ability to meet sales demand.
  • Actively participate in the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning process.
  • Stay up to date with best practice supply planning techniques to improve planning processes.
  • Review historical demand and consumption trends to identify ideal buying points, Economic Order Quantities (EOQs), and supplier lead times.
  • Identify and track variances to drive process improvements.
  • Execute purchase orders for suppliers, including the return and credit associated with non-conforming goods.
  • Maintain favorable inventory levels through planning and purchasing activities.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or equivalent disciplines. ISM or APICS certification preferred.
  • 5 years of relevant work experience in buying, planning, and forecasting.
  • Thorough knowledge of supply chain processes related to procurement and inventory management.
  • Demonstrated experience with contract and pricing negotiations, inventory control, and stocking methods (Lean/Demand Flow experience desired).
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, planning software, and computer applications including Logility, Oracle, Excel, etc.
  • Proficiency in creating and analyzing Excel spreadsheets and complex algorithmic inventory models.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
