Ultium Cells, LLC. is a joint venture Lithium-ion automotive battery cell manufacturing plant between LG Energy Solution, Ltd., and General Motors. This high-technology plant is a new construction that will have the latest in battery cell manufacturing technology. Position Description:
During our paid internship program, interns will have the opportunity to work on major projects and showcase their skills and talents. This program will provide each student with valuable insight, hands-on experience, and networking opportunities that will prepare each intern for their future. Interns will work alongside leaders and mentors on assignments related to your field of study to take your classroom learning to the next level. We are seeking dynamic and energetic interns who are ready to seize the opportunity and help us charge into a more sustainable, all-electric future transportation powered by Ultium Cells batteries.
Ultium Cells, LLC. 2025 Summer Internship Program begins on May 19th, 2025 with a 12-week minimum duration.
Job Duties May Include:
- Compile data for process/inventory flow and FIFO optimization.
- Assist in the implementation of process and safety related improvement projects to optimize efficiency.
- Creation of digital checklists and forms used for checking inventory, supply/order requests, and pre-operation processes.
- Development and utilization of spreadsheets to ensure proper document control throughout the department as well as to track the distribution of safety PPE and other consumables.
Qualifications:
- We are seeking students who are currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Engineering or data management related field.
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must be available to attend orientation on May 19th, 2025 (non-negotiable) and participate for the full 12-week minimum duration
