UCT is looking for a talented Sr. Test Engineer to join us in Austin, TX! The Test Engineer will be responsible for assisting with supporting the production build of various systems on the manufacturing floor. Responsible for planning and conducting independent work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application, and adaptation of Test techniques, procedures, and criteria. Devise new approaches to problems, and prepare or modify drawings, specifications, calculations, charts, and graphs, and monitor work for compliance to applicable build and quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Technical Expertise:

• Proficiency in electrical and mechanical testing procedures for gas boxes and gas distribution panels.
• Experience with automated test equipment (ATE) and manual testing tools.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to gas distribution systems.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues in both hardware and software components.
• Strong analytical skills for identifying root causes of defects and implementing corrective actions.
• Collect and analyze data from testing processes to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.

Software & Tools:

• Proficiency with testing software and data analysis tools.
• Familiarity with CAD software for reviewing design specifications is advantageous.

Attention to Detail:

• High level of attention to detail and accuracy in testing and documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Lean Manufacturing Principles, Six Sigma Greenbelt preferred.
• Familiarity with semiconductor capital equipment.
• Knowledge of electronic Work Instruction software is a plus (i.e., Sequence).
• ERP System Software
• Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Suite, emphasis in Excel.
• Prior experience leading small teams to achieve project success.
• Good interpersonal skills: ability to work alone or in a team environment.

Educational/Certification Requirement :

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field) or equivalent experience.
• Relevant certifications or training in testing and quality assurance are a plus.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly with gas distribution systems, is preferred.

Experience Requirement:

• 5 years experience in high-technology manufacturing, preferably in semiconductor capital equipment or related industry.
• Working knowledge of quick-turn, engineer-to-order environment
