Entry-Level Administrative Support Position
Experience Requirement: 0-3 years
OverviewIn this role, individuals will provide administrative support to a department or group of professionals under direct supervision. The position involves compiling and analyzing basic information, preparing reports and presentation materials, and responding to routine correspondence.
Key Responsibilities
  • Compile and analyze information for reports
  • Prepare charts, graphs, or tables for presentations
  • Respond to routine correspondence following established procedures
  • Exercise independent judgment and reasoning skills
  • Use software packages for word processing, spreadsheet, database management, and presentations
  • Assist with secretarial and administrative tasks
  • Handle a high volume of detailed work
  • Compile, analyze, and reconcile reports
  • Prepare various reports such as indexes, budgets, and inventories
  • Manage employer's appointment schedule
  • Maintain business records and files
  • Organize incoming mail and prepare replies
  • Arrange conferences and travel accommodations
  • Handle purchase orders, bill payments, and expense vouchers
  • Work with confidential materials including personnel records and payroll data
  • Work in specific work environments like legal, finance, or marketing
  • Prepare business documents using word processing software
Qualifications
  • High school education or equivalent
  • Ability to type a minimum of 60 words per minute, speedwriting or shorthand skills may be required
  • Proficiency with software applications
  • Ability to work with confidential information independently
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
