Remote Position: Crisis Care Continuum Facilitator at Indiana's 988-911 Interoperability Committee Description Of ResponsibilitiesFacilitation and Communication:
Lead Indiana's 988-911 Interoperability Committee to ensure seamless communication between 988 services and first responders.
Serve as the liaison between 988 and 911 systems/first responders.
Coordinate debriefing sessions on scenarios to pinpoint operational gaps in the system.
Technical Support And Relationship Development
Provide technical support to address issues between law enforcement/first responders and crisis care services.
Foster relationships between crisis care service providers and law enforcement/first responders.
Data Management And Training
Collect and organize relevant data on 988 crisis care continuum and justice systems.
Develop training programs for 911 PSAPs, law enforcement, and first responders related to the 988 system in Indiana.
Manual Development And Integration
Create and maintain an operational manual covering data dictionaries, triage processes, safety protocols, and technology aspects.
Devise an integration plan for fire, law enforcement, and CIT, along with training programs and funding mechanisms.
Evaluation And Best Practices
Establish a program evaluation plan along with best practices and data collection methods for continuous improvement.
Desired Qualifications
Personal experience accessing crisis services, particularly relating to mental health, substance use, and suicide crises.
Background in any first responder profession (e.g., 911, Law Enforcement, Fire, EMS).
Familiarity with law enforcement and 911 PSAP protocols, SAMHSA Behavioral Health Crisis Care Best Practices, and crisis intervention techniques.
Understanding of cultural and linguistic nuances impacting underrepresented groups' access to crisis services, including BIPOC, LGBTQ communities, and rural areas.
Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Capacity to handle high-pressure situations confidently.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Excellent project management skills, including multitasking and prioritization.
