Opportunity to Manage Federal Grants and State Appropriations SummaryThis position plays a crucial role in managing the complete lifecycle of Federal grants and State appropriations. Responsibilities include identifying grant opportunities, securing funding, monitoring subrecipients, and closing out awards. Key ResponsibilitiesSecure Funding:
Establish and manage timelines for securing Federal grant funding.
Regularly monitor Federal grants websites and resources to identify new grant opportunities.
Aid program clients in creating grant proposal documents and Federal Grant Summaries for approval by the State Budget Agency and OMB.
Support Program Clients
Assist program clients in completing federal and IDOH budget templates.
Gather and organize necessary documentation for grant proposals.
Guide program clients through the approval process of grant proposals by ISDH leadership and OMB.
Reporting And Compliance
Review reporting guidelines and set deadlines for program and fiscal staff.
Provide technical assistance on grant reporting to ensure compliance.
Attend financial meetings to assess expenditures and manage grant development activities.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree and four years of experience in business administration or related field preferred.
Knowledge of grant application processes and financial regulations.
Strong research, writing, and customer service skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Supervision And Work Environment
This position does not have direct reports.
Work involves analyzing grant guidelines and communicating effectively.
Receives general instructions and works with various stakeholders.
