Umanist Staffing is Hiring a Field Registered Nurse Assessor Near New York, NY
Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesServe as the lead content knowledge expert concerning the review and research of provided clinical information.
Perform clinical case reviews and consultations
Provide direct supervision to assigned team of nursing and/or other clinical staff
Provide subject matter expertise related to medical necessity and level of care criteria and application thereof
Provides education and clinical training to staff in area of expertise
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Enter assessment data into the UAS-NY online application and transmit, as required.
Code the UAS assessment correctly based on training and guidelines in the UAS-NY Community Health Assessment Reference Manual.
Review non-qualified assessments with the Clinical Quality Assurance Department.
Maintain a comprehensive working knowledge of community resources, payor requirements, and network services for target population.
Maintain updated knowledge of the UAS-NY assessment process.
Review consumer medical documentation and/or health referral forms, as relevant to the case.
Document any concerns, conflicting information, other issues that surface during the evaluation process.
Perform other duties as many be assigned by the Senior Manager or other project management.
Minimum RequirementsCurrent Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of practice is required
Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Clinical ExperienceMinimum 1 year supervisory experience preferred
2 years RN experience in-home care.
RN license in the state of New York.
Bachelors’ Degree in health, social services, or communications.
Ability to travel locally.
Reliable form of transportation may include ride-sharing options.
Preferred QualificationsMA degree in a health, social services, or communications field preferred.
Prior experience using the UAS-NY Community assessment tool.
Bilingual in Spanish and English
