Umanist Staffing is Hiring a Field Services Engineer - Sensing & Monitoring Solutions Near Londonderry, NH

DescriptionIn this role, you will provide significant technical expertise and engineering solutions to customers and sales teams. Your primary responsibilities will include resolving a variety of technical issues related to scheduling, installations, troubleshooting, and reporting, all while ensuring customer satisfaction through quality work and service.
You will support Sensing & Monitoring products, particularly in the power industry, and will travel to various sites to evaluate and correct issues. Additionally, you will conduct training classes for customers, both in-office and on-site, to enhance their understanding of the products and systems.
Core Responsibilities
  • Travel to customer sites for installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of monitoring systems.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction while providing quality service in accordance with contractual agreements and safety standards.
  • Utilize strong deductive reasoning to identify problems and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Provide technical assistance for supporting monitoring systems to customers, subsidiaries, or representatives.
  • Promote products and services by providing technical sales support.
  • Attend trade shows and user groups to offer technical support and best practices.
  • Assist with generating proposals in response to customer bid packages and review technical specifications.
  • Develop and maintain training materials and lead training programs on instruments and troubleshooting best practices.
  • Complete reports to professional standards and in a timely manner.
  • Arrange travel logistics and submit expense reports while being a good steward of resources.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (Electronics or Mechanical) or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience, with knowledge of rotating machinery operation and control systems preferred.
  • Familiarity with tools such as proximity probe test kits, shaker tables, and oscilloscopes.
  • Strong electronics and mechanical troubleshooting skills, with a hands-on approach.
  • Experience using AutoCAD is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% domestically and internationally.
  • Valid driver's license is required for travel to customer locations.
  • Proficient with computer systems, including MS Office.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts effectively.
  • Self-starter with minimal supervision required, able to prioritize and meet deadlines.
