Analyze compiled, reviewed, and audited financial statements for contractors.
Apply necessary adjustments in compliance with the Rules for Prequalification of Contractors within specified time frames.
Investigate any discrepancies in the Contractor's Statement of Experience and Financial Condition (CR-1) utilizing information from financial statements or related notes.
Consult on a one-on-one basis with applicants or their CPAs regarding CR-1 filings.
Address queries on technical financial matters from Certified Public Accountants and CPA firms about GAAP and state prequalification regulations.
Prepare prequalification worksheets to determine the maximum balance for prequalification ratings.
Evaluate renewal applications for acceptability and complete associated worksheets.
Requirements
Proficiency in GAAP accounting standards.
Strong background in corporate balance sheets.
Previous experience working with construction company comptroller or accountant (preferred but not mandatory).
Duration
The position is temporary and will entail assisting the current Prequalification Auditor from April to October.
