Umanist Staffing is Hiring a Financial Reporting Analyst Near Mount Prospect, IL
Position SummaryJoin our team as the Senior Staff Accountant and drive the daily and monthly operational accounting responsibilities, overseeing fixed assets, accruals, prepaids, and other assets.
Key ResponsibilitiesUnder the guidance of the Controller, apply finance and accounting principles to support the Business Unit's financial and operational planning and reporting.
Maintain internal financial processes and controls in compliance with SOX regulations.
Generate and analyze system-driven reports to derive insights from data.
Prepare both ad hoc and recurring monthly journal entries.
Conduct analysis on product costs, overhead absorption, and fixed cost expenditures.
Collaborate with manufacturing personnel and production planners to enhance inventory controls and internal programs.
Ensure accurate balance sheet reconciliations and manage the fixed asset subledger and capital expenditure tracking.
Provide support to team members and assist with collections as required.
Requirements For The PositionBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from a reputable four-year college or university.
At least three years of relevant accounting experience and familiarity with Controllership.
Proficiency in interpreting business documents and regulations, report writing, and mathematical calculations.
Expertise in MS Excel, Word, and ERP/MRP systems.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills to drive informed decisions.
Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in a manufacturing setting.
